Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how everytldr handles information when you use the service.

Information we process

everytldr may process the following information to provide article summaries, source links, anonymous likes, and threaded comments.

  • Article and source metadata, including source URL, publisher name, category, thumbnail URL, publication time, and AI-generated summaries
  • Comment information, including content, nickname, parent comment reference, related article identifier, creation time, and a password hash
  • Like information, including related article identifier and whether the like is active
  • Hashed network information used for abuse prevention and anonymous interaction controls
  • Technical logs such as request time, URL, browser type, IP address, and error details

Comment passwords are processed as hashes for comment-related controls. Do not reuse a password from another service.

Browser storage

everytldr may store small pieces of information in your browser to operate the product and keep it convenient between visits, including:

  • language and theme preferences
  • recent search terms
  • interface state needed by the service

You can delete this information through your browser settings.

Anonymous likes and comments

everytldr supports anonymous likes and comments. To limit duplicate likes and reduce abuse, the service may derive a keyed hash from your IP address and store that hash instead of the raw IP address in product tables.

Comments may be hidden from the interface while retained for moderation, service integrity, or legal reasons.

Advertising and third-party services

everytldr may use Google AdSense or similar advertising services. These providers may use cookies or comparable technologies according to their own policies.

When you open an original source article, you leave everytldr and visit the source website. That website's own privacy practices apply.

Retention

Information is kept only as long as needed for service operation, security, debugging, abuse prevention, moderation, legal obligations, or legitimate product maintenance.
