Teaching and Mentorship
While based at the University of Chicago and Yerkes Observatory, he demonstrated rigorous dedication to students.
In 1948, he commuted weekly to teach an advanced class to just two students, Tsung-Dao Lee and Chen-Ning Yang, both of whom later received the Nobel Prize.
