Bangladesh Finalizes National Program for 4th World March for Peace and Nonviolence

- The Humanist Movement, Bangladesh Chapter, has finalized its national program for the global '4th World March for Peace and Nonviolence in My City- 2026', running from September 21 to October 4.
- The action plan was confirmed on August 14 at a strategy meeting held at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University (SAU) in Dhaka.
Planned Activities
- Distribution of awareness-raising leaflets.
- 'Signing in Solidarity with the Peace March' campaign.
- Organization of rallies, seminars, peace vigils, and art competitions.
Operational Hubs
- Programs will be executed simultaneously across five key centers in Bangladesh:
- Uttara Center
- Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Branch
- Sonargaon Center (Panam City)
- Ishwardi Center
- Daudkandi (Comilla) Center
Key Participants
- Chair: Md. Nazrul Islam (Jashim), Special Representative of the Humanist Movement, Bangladesh.
- Key attendees included international coordinator Declar Mendez Hague (Australia), committee member Md. Mejanur Rahman Talukder Pasha, and representatives from Pressenza-Dhaka Bureau, alongside various student leaders and local activists.
